The HTC 8X will join the HTC One M8 soon

If you’re a Windows Phone fan, you probably know that most of WP8 Lumia smartphones are compatible with the Preview version of Windows 10, which will be released by Microsoft soon enough.

However, there are plenty other non-Lumia devices in the Windows Phone camp. Still, until now, only one was compatible with the Windows 10 Mobile Preview, and that was the HTC One M8 for Windows. But today’s batch of rumors seem to suggest that another non-Lumia device will be added to the list. And it will also be from HTC.

According to WMPU, the HTC 8X will also be the recipient of Windows 10 Technical Preview, and it will be included in the Windows Phone Recovery tool as well. The update should arrive for HTC 8X users soon enough, but a specific date has not been given yet.

The HTC 8X is a smartphone that launched back in September 2012, making a debut into the wild with a 4.3-inch display and 720 x 1280 pixel resolution.

The device is powered by a Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset in combination with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

With this model, HTC is also offering an 8MP main camera with autofocus and LED flash, plus a 2.1MP frontal shooter.
