Kyocera announced last week it would showcase a Windows Phone prototype at Mobile World Congress 2015 trade fair, along with its new TORQUE Android smartphone.

True to its promise, the company is now demoing its Windows Phone handset at its booth at MWC 2015, so if you're in Barcelona and wish to check out the device, you should know that it is available for hands-on sessions.

According to WMPoweruser, Kyocera's Windows Phone will be available in Europe this year. The only countries that have been confirmed to get it are Spain, France and Germany, but other countries may get the handset as well.

Little is known about its specs, but it runs Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 and is ultra-rugged, as we speculated a few days ago when we reported on the phone.

Obviously, it will be a budget-friendly smartphone, so don't expect any high-end features to be included. It's unclear whether Kyocera's handset will be Windows 10 ready or not, but since the smartphone will only be launched later this year, it should get the newest version of Windows Phone as an update.

Because this is a prototype unit, the specs may be changed, which is one of the reasons Kyocera did not announce any specification list yet.
