One of the best Android games available in Google Play Store, the sequel to the highly-acclaimed Plants vs. Zombies has just received an important update that brings new content and new features.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 received an update called Frostbite Caves about a month ago and EA confirmed at that time that there will be a second part of the update released later on.

Today, that second part has been launched and is now available for download through Google Play Store. Frostbite Caves Part 2 adds 16 new levels, which feature sizzling plants and cool zombies battling it out on the frozen tundra.

For addicts, here is some of the new stuff the update brings into Plants vs. Zombies 2: 3 scorching new plants (including Fire Peashooter), 2 prehistoric zombies (Weasel Hoarder), Dr. Zomboss and his Zombot Tuskmaster 10,000 BC.

In addition, the update also introduces a new endless zone called Icebound Battleground. Last but not least, developers have confirmed that golden jackpots in the Luck O’ The Zombie event will be available between March 10 and March 19.

If you don't have the game already installed, you can now download Plants vs. Zombies 2 for free via Google Play store.

The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3 and up. Keep in mind that the game requires at least an ARMv7 CPU clocked at 1GHz, as well as 1GB of RAM.
