Earlier this month, we told you that ASUS finally officially launched its ZenFone 2 smartphone. Albeit concerns have arisen that the handset would be sold for more than previously announced ($200 / €189), everything turned out better than expected in the end.

ASUS made the phone available in its official home country, Taiwan, where the manufacturer started selling the ZenFone 2 version with a 5.5-inch display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage for $285 / €269.

Well, as it turns out, ASUS later announced a 64GB version would also be offered, and now time has come for us to tell you the cost of this particular model.

The company will be selling this version fitted with 4GB of RAM, which places the smartphone a tad over the $300 / €283 threshold.

The model has been listed with ASUS for $318 / €300, and if you reside in Taiwan, you’ll be able to place an order for it soon.

This month, the ZenFone 2 is expected to make a debut into several other markets, including China, Hong Kong, Singapore and France. April is reserved for India, Italy and Southeast Asia, while Brazil will see the handset in June.

No word of when the phone will arrive in the United States.
