He was eventually arrested by NYPD officers

Workers at Apple’s Store in New York witnessed one really awkward event a few days ago when a man carrying nothing but a samurai sword entered the shop and started screaming.

Although it’s not really hard to understand that everyone got really scared given the recent tragedy in Paris, it appears that the man never wanted anything, so he was easily escorted out of the Fifth Avenue store by local security staff.

But he just couldn’t give up. When everyone thought the man calmed down, he actually rushed back in the store, again with the samurai sword, and again screaming.

According to a report by ABC 7 NY, two NYPD officers who were in the store at the time of the event managed to take the man into custody outside the story. He was then transported to Bellevue Hospital and is now charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

Luckily, no one was injured, but 9to5mac claims the man was ready to harm himself with the sword, but the prompt reaction of the NYPD officers prevented anything like this from happening.

What’s weirder is that nobody knows exactly why the man turned to such a gesture, but one thing is sure: Apple’s staff at the Fifth Avenue store had the most terrifying experience ever. You don’t see a man pulling out a samurai sword every day, that’s for sure.
