After releasing the OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan maintenance release for Macs and iOS 9.1 software update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices, Apple pushed the first point release of the iTunes 12.3 audio playback and music organizer software to Mac OS X and Windows users worldwide.

Besides the usual under-the-hood improvements to make iTunes' performance and stability much more reliable, the 12.3.1 update also enhances the user experience for subscribers of the iTunes Match audio storage service, as well as for members of the Apple Music audio streaming service.

Apple also took the time to explain to us what exactly they've changed to make the UX of Apple Music and iTunes Match. Therefore, as you can see from the screenshot attached on the right, they fixed an uploading issue that affected both services, as many users reported that songs were kept pending indefinitely.

Therefore, you should now experience a much better uploading functionality when using either Apple Music or iTunes Match from any of your computers, including supported Macs running the latest versions of OS X, as well as Windows PCs running the Microsoft Windows operating system.

While Mac OS X users can update iTunes to version 12.3.1 right now through the Mac App Store app in OS X, Windows users need to download the iTunes 12.3.1 installer from Softpedia. iTunes 12.3.1 installers for Mac OS X are also available for download from our website, as well as from the official website of the software.
