According to Unbox Therapy's bend test YouTube video, the iPhone 6s Plus is quite a serious weightlifter

After the video showing an iPhone 6s and and 6s Plus staying under water for 48 hours with little to no damage, the 6s Plus has just hit the gym in a bend test video published by Lewis Hilsenteger, on his Unbox Therapy YouTube channel.

As we can see in the video, the iPhone 6s Plus does not begin to show any signs of stress until Hilsenteger sets 125 lbs of weights on top.

Moreover, at 100 lbs, the iPhone 6s Plus has absolutely no marks suggesting that the weight affected its case or the inside components.

This compares to the previous 5.5-inch iPhone model, the 6s Plus, which would crumble at 90 lbs of force. As Unbox Therapy's bend test video shows, the new 7000 Series aluminum alloy used by Apple to build the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus actually makes a significant difference.

Eventually, the tested iPhone 6s Plus did break once it got 180 pounds of weights on top. It should also be noted that the entire weight it supported was concentrated at iPhone's mid-section, which makes it even more impressive, given that doing this is the fastest way to make a slim device like the 6s Plus disintegrate into small pieces.

All in all, Unbox Therapy's "take the iPhone 6s Plus to the gym" experiment proved that Apple's new 5.5-inch iPhone can lift up to 100 lbs of weights, which is not too shabby for someone with a 7.3 mm waistline.

Also, even though Apple released its new iPhones a week ago, there's still no #bendgate in sight, a sign of good times to come for owners of 5.5-inch iPhones.
