Not a single year goes by without iPhone mini rumors, and 2014 was no exception. Last year a rumor broke out that Apple, now selling big-screens for the first time, was prepared to introduce a third iPhone 6 model with a third screen option capped at 4 inches on the diagonal.
Apple already sells 4-inch iPhones, but probably not for much longer. The iPhone 6S is expected to hit the market this year, and the existing 4 inchers - the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C - are likely to get discontinued.
This is where the iPhone 6S mini comes in and saves the day. A bunch of designers in China have envisioned what is essentially a lineup of three different iPhone 6S models that Apple will supposedly deploy this fall. The screen sizes will be 4 inches for the iPhone 6S mini, 4.7 inches for the regular iPhone 6S, and 5.5 inches for the iPhone 6S Plus, they say.
The phones will all be equipped with dual microphones, stereo speakers, audio output through the Lightning port (no more jack), and FaceTime HD camera quality thanks to a larger aperture of F / 1.8 (50% more light exposure). The iPhone 6S mini will be equipped with a 4-inch Retina HD display, the designers believe. Gallery below.
