Dropbox has just released a new version of their Mac desktop client that provides support for Apple's soon-to-be-released OS X El Capitan operating system.

The list of new features introduced in the Dropbox 3.8.9 version is quite short, and according to the post published on the Dropbox Community, this new release is designed to bring support for OS X 10.11 and to enable the Camera Upload feature on the same version of OS X .

In previous versions of the 3.8 series, Dropbox introduced optional Gmail integration for users who have Chrome installed on their computer and use a Gmail address with their Dropbox installation.

Moreover, the client also received some little enhancements to the selective sync user interface designed to help users manage the folders they want to be synced in a more streamlined manner.

Two other features were also added in previous Dropbox 3.8 releases, a new Dropbox badge for Preview on Mac and Dropbox binaries compiled using Xcode 6.3.

Dropbox is a cloud storage and data synchronization service with clients available for a multitude of desktop and mobile platforms, and it is designed to provide its users with access to their files via a specially created folder on their computer or mobile device, as well as a web-based interface.

You can download Dropbox 3.8.9 for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux right now from Softpedia, and you will be able to choose between 32-bit and 64-bit binaries where available.
