The update is now live on the Mac App Store

On October 19, Apple announced a new maintenance release of its Digital Camera RAW software, version 6.17, which brings support for a total of five new digital cameras to the Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan operating system.

According to the brief release notes posted by Apple, Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.17 introduces support for the DxO ONE, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ300, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ330, Pentax K-3 II, and Pentax K-S2 digital cameras.

"This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to OS X El Capitan," reads today's announcement on Apple's website. "For more information on supported RAW formats, see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205272."

Users of Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan can update to Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.17 right now. The new version is live on the Mac App Store application. To update, open the Mac App Store, go to the "Updates" tab and check for updates.

The Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.17 software should immediately appear on the list of updates. Press the "Update" button in front of it to download and update the software.

Alternatively, you can download the DMG installer for Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 6.17 right now from Softpedia if you don't see the update in the Mac App Store.
