Check out this blast from the past concept

The first iPhone was released on the market on June 29, 2007, and since then Apple has consistently rolled out a new model every year.

But what if Apple had launched a phone 20 years before the actual event happened? The phone would have certainly looked a lot more different. Wonder how much?

The folks at Yanko Design want to give you an answer to that question, so they are teasing us with a “blast from the past” iPhone concept done by designer Pierre Cerveau.

The concept revolves around a cool-looking vintage dial that can be used to either scroll up or down the screen. It can also be used as a rotary phone.

The phone is equipped with two dial options, the scrolling mode and the dialing mode.

The designer has also taken inspiration from the old, blocky Macintosh look, especially with the grey color of the casing. Naturally, the concept uses the popular rainbow colored logo on the back, as well as the 512KB marking to tease the “advanced” features the device comes with.

The phone doesn’t seem to be very practical, but who cares since this is only a concept created for the fun of it? Looks like a hipster’s wildest dream, doesn’t it?
